i have a 2000 bmw m5 looking to find where is the location of cam and crank sensor

There are 4 cam sensors,2 in each head,at the back of the engine.Not too sure about crank sensor,i think it is located at the front of the engine,down by the crank pulley.Never had to change one.

The previous answer is right about the quantity and locations of the camshaft sensors. There are 2 intake/inlet sensors and 2 exhaust sensors, with one of each on each cylinder head at the rear.
The crankshaft position sensor (pulse generator) is at the right lower side of the bell housing (p/n 12 141 742 629).
