l know some convertable cars look like a normal car when they are not open, but some have the black top, and l wanted to know if a BMW can look normal when close, cause l hate the black top.

l think you mean cloth top. Yes, most have cloth tops. Not metal. The new 3 Series convertibles have metal tops.

BMW is 1 Series, 6 Series, Z4, & Z8 (also the old 3 Series & Z3) convertibles have cloth tops (available in black, tan, grey, etc.), however the new 3 Series convertible has a power-folding hardtop that looks like a typical coupé when closed. It is the same color as the rest of the car is body. If u desire one of BMW is different convertibles but r turned off by the ragtop design, u can purchase a body-colored hardtop that fits in place of the cloth one. l believe these r available for the Z3, Z4, & previous 3 Series. They r difficult to remove though.
