l guess the only thing holding me back from getting the m3 is that l do not know how to drive on a MT, but nevertheless they're both great cars..
oh sorry l forgot to note that l live in US, so l dont think there is an automatic version of the m3 coupe at least l thought so?
is the m3 good in winter also? l mean l get snow in nj, so it might not be that great with traction and such

The M3 is an awesome car, the X5 is an ''eh'' SUV.

Get M3. Do not worry about MT, u just need couple days to get used to it. MT from BMW is very smooth like butter, even easier than MT from honda civic. You will love it until u never go back to AT. l live in NJ also, the traction of M3 is not bad here, u might need to get winter or all season tires & proper air pressure, just do not use performance tires on winter (the profile is too low). You're good to go. Actually X5 was my dream car, but from the gas price, Im happy with 3 now. You will love it, that is sweet & awesome, l enjoy driving it everyday.

the m3 will not move at all in the snow, if you have another car get the m3 otherwise get the x5
