My car rear view mirror came out. l have tied 2 options. Once glued it and then tried pad. But both has failed. Both the time l could not open the metal button from the mirror. So l have used the entire mirror to fix.
Now can any body tell me or show me how to open the metal button first.

Its a twist 1/4 turn setup. A big channel lock and your hand should do the trick. Glue the mounting plate (you call it the metal button (cute)). If you glue it right and wait about an hour you should be able to click it back on and it should stay there for a long long time. (hint put the sun visors down to get the center of the window.) l have seen to many cars where the mirror is off and the visors hit it.
