Well, considering the calibre of the car, l wouldnt be using a cheap pad.

l would be using Bendix as a minimum. A BMW deserves a high quality brake pad, & considering the size & weight of the car, it needs a good pad to slow it down effectively.

Im not sure where in the world u r located, but in Australia, l would expect to pay $100AUD a pair as minimum.

Anywhere from $200 - $400 for pads could be considered to be a fair price, if they r a quality pad, or a genuine part.

Labor charged to fit 4 brake pads would probably be between 1 - 2 hours. So, the labor charge will depend on what the workshop charges per hour. Expect $40 - $100 per hour as a workshop charge.

If u need to have rotors machined or replaced, or ur calipers need a service then that will add to the cost.

l would expect a minimum charge of $400 - $500

It is an easy enough job & will take no more than an hour tops! Any decent garage could do the job,it is just the labour charge will vary.BMW will cost a round 95/100 quid an hour,other garages wo not be as expensive. l would get genuine pads from a BMW dealer though,do not mess around with motor factor spares for pads.Someparts r worth buying from a motor factor but not pads! Get a price for the pads,and then call round & get a labour charge to have them fitted. l do not think the Yanks realise how expensive living in England is! $40/$100 per hour labour charge. l wish!

Get yr brake pads and sensors from the dealers.You can do it yourself,if u have knowledge.
Otherwise you can go to 2 garages and ask for the quote and then decide.

First of all its a good rule to follow to canvass first at a local auto supply store to have an idea because nowadays different stores charge different cost depending on the capability of the buyer. If they find you as being easy going with the price of the spare parts then you wo not get a good price for an original spare parts. Try to listen first on their ideas, you will be surprised you've learned something just from mere asking.

Right around $400 (total parts & labor front & rear). make sure they replace the brake wear sensors as well, one in front & one for the rear.

Get a quote, l just did the 4 corners on my 750iL and l did the work myself, 4 wheel disc and it ran me 450 bucks and l did not even pay myself. You are looking at about 350 per axle for NEW parts do NOT l repeat DO NOT have the rotors turned.
