Ok my 1995 bmw 740 il got some issues. l start the car it runs for 10 min or so and dies, l drive it runs but when l stop at lights it dies too, some told me to change the fuel pump but current fuel pump does not seem to be dirty or has any damages however it is from junk yard so,
so what do you think /?????

change the car battery

replace it with a new one

clean the injectors,fuel filter,obviously you not getting fuel properly

If stalled, does it keep the check engine light on? Dealer can read the code & assist with trouble shooting.

This could be caused my massive air leak in intake system or melfunctioning Air Mass Meter, or idle control valve (you can take it out & clean with carb cleaner)

But could also be a problem in fuel delivery - specifically the fuel line not keeping proper pressure. Fuel pressure regular maybe at end of of its life & may not be keeping proper pressure.

You really do not know why until u have the code read from the dealer. For now, l would clean the idle control valve, & throttle body. just because u can get this done for $2 carb cleaner with little bit of elbow grease.
