l wanna get a BMW...one is a 2003 and the other is 2000 (or 2001 l forgot).Anyway, l wanna know what type of key does it have.Also, which year BMW would l need to buy it get this key?

l just love the look of they key but if it is 2008 or 2009 I am probably just going to settle with the old one.

Not going to work- these are for the ones with push button start.

l believe those keys came out first in the 2006 BMW is (maybe 2005). With those keys you put it in the ignition and then press a button on the dashboard to start the engine.
BMW is from probably around 2000 until 2006 have a key like regular cars that you have to turn. On the key it has a built in remote, and it recharges automatically whenever it is in the ignition.

The specific key is for the 7 series. The 3 series key that looks like that started being implemented in 2006 with the introduction of the E90 sedan.
